Forensic Science
The term Forensic is effectively a synonym for 'legal' or 'related to courts'. In Latin, it means "before the forum". However, it is now so closely associated with the scientific field. It comes from the Latin word FORENSIS meaning forum. There are many sub divisions and applications of forensic science, like anthropology, epistemology and forensic serology etc. Forensic Serology is the study of blood, semen, saliva, and other fluids related to legal maters.
Forensic Entomology deals with the examination of insects in, on, and around human body remains to assist in determination of time or location of death. Forensic science has enable to determine if the body was moved before or after death. The earliest account of fingerprints used to establish identification was during the 7th century.
